While XFile is a client-side control, it is licensed on a per-server basis. Typically, XFile is used as a cab file which resides on the server and is downloaded to the client machine through an <Object> tag on an html page. It is acceptable to use XFile in a desktop application which is distributed to multiple users ONLY IF the application cannot upload to any servers other than the one(s) which have a valid license for XFile.
