| HOWTO: Upgrading from the Evaluation to the Full Version |
| Problem |
| After upgrading from the evaluation version to the full version of SA-FileUp, the warning message and limit of 50 uploads or downloads still appears. |
| Solution |
To upgrade from the evaluation to the full version, follow these steps:
- Stop IIS entirely:
- For IIS 3:Using Internet Service Manager, stop ALL
services including W3SVC, FTP and possibly gopher
- For IIS 4:Open a Command Window and enter
net stop iisadmin /y
- Using the Task Manager, verify that the Inetinfo process has terminated
- Uninstall the evaluation version, using either the shortcut from the start
menu or the Control Panel's Add/Remove Program applet.
- If you are extra cautious, ensure that no copy of SAFILEUP.DLL exists on your system
- Install the full version using the automated setup (setup.exe)
- Restart IIS
- For IIS 3:Using Internet Service Manager, restart the services such as
W3SVC, FTP and possibly gopher
- For IIS 4:Open a Command Window and enter
net start w3svc
net start msftpsvc
The entire process should only take about five minutes. |
