When running an ASP script that uses SoftArtisans SMTPmail, the following error is received:
SoftArtisans.SMTPMail.1 (0x80020009)
This edition of SMTPMail has expired
The error message is given by the evaluation version of the Full edition of SMTPmail (as opposed to SMTPmail, free edition*). This message means that the evaluation time period has expired.
*note, the SMTPmail free edition does not expire, but has other limitations explained at: http://fileup.softartisans.com/default.aspx?PageID=276

The solution is to purchase the retail version of the Full edition of SMTPmail. This can be done at: http://fileup.softartisans.com/default.aspx?PageID=276
Since the evaluation versions of the product expire on a specific date, it is possible that you obtained the evaluation version very close to the expiration date and have not had time to finish your evaluation of the product. If you require additional time, please visit the website to obtain an evaluation version for the next month.
