Can we install Old Version instead Latest which we purchsed now?

Can we install Old Version instead Latest which we purchsed now?
Dear All,

We are using Softartisan since it was having version 3.

Recently we have procured one more licesense which is of version 8.

Our developer is facing issue in configuring that in the existing code which he has written.

He is asking to install older version(3.XX) insted of Latest Version 8.

Can we do that?
If no, then how much impact will Version 8 have on the Application, if it is designed for version 3.XX?
