BCC list visible to all recipients is not online. Last active: 7/8/2009 4:41:03 AM BCC list visible to all recipients

BCC list is showing to all recipients

Hi,

We are using SoftArtisans SMTPMail compenent to send mail out from our website.
One of our client received an email sent from our website and they could see the BCC list.
Could you let me know why and are there any case such as configuring SMTP was wrong, the email address wasn't formatted correctly that makes the BCC list is visible to all recipients.

To see BCC list: clicking File -> propertied -> choose Details tab, the BCC list is shown here.

For example: It shows like as below on Details tab

BCC: user1@domain1.com <user1@domain1.com>, user2@domain2.com<user2@domain2.com
Subject: Request for bid _ Aud-38345B
Date: Mon, 29 Jun 2009 08:18:05 -0700
Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Message-ID: BTC-WEBaYFkuutSgcOr00002eeb@ourdomain.com

Hi Andrew,

 

I have done some initial testing using SMTPMail in classic ASP. However so far I haven’t been able to reproduce this issue with the BCC list being visible to all recipients. While I continue investigating this, could you please provide the following information:

 

1)     Which version of SMTPMail are you using?

2)     Are you using SMTPMail in classic ASP or ASP.NET? If it is .NET, which version of the Framework are you using?

3)     What is your mail server software?
