Permission Errors when Downloading with FileUp's TransferFile Method
Problem
ASP error: 
Error Type:
SoftArtisans.FileUp.1 (0x80020009)
Cannot open file.
ASP.NET error (v4 and higher of FileUp): 
System.Exception: 
TransferFile caught a ThreadAbortException
Solution

These error messages are returned if inadequate NTFS permissions are set on the file to be downloaded (or if the path to the file is incorrect). The file to be downloaded must have "READ" permissions available for the account under which FileUp is running.
