SoftArtisans XFile is a powerful ActiveX product with a non-visual COM file
transfer engine. SoftArtisans XFile is a complete HTTP client that may be used from ASP,
Visual Basic, Windows Scripting Host, Microsoft Office or Windows Explorer. XFile's
many features include:
- Visual (ActiveX) control
- Can be used from Internet Explorer, Visual Basic
- Supports drag-and-drop
- List of files to transfer can be preset
- Accurate progress indicator
- Shows estimated size and transfer time
- Non-visual COM Component file transfer engine:
- Allows multiple HTTP GET, POST, PUT in a single operation
- Generates events for capture by Internet Explorer or Visual Basic
- Supports SSL, Proxies, Multiple authentication mechanisms

Example: Upload with SoftArtisans XFile
This sample uploads one or more files from XFile's visual ActiveX control and displays properties
of the uploaded files. Note that WebServer.asp uses the include file
include.inc.asp.
Important: The example saves the upload to the folder FileUpEE\doc-samples\temp.
The IUSR_MACHINENAME of authenticated user account must have Read, Write, and Modify
access to this folder.
A 100K size limit has been set on upload samples.
To run the example:
- Click the link Run sample.
- Click Add Files.
- Select one or more files to upload. To select more than one
file, use the Ctrl key.
- Click Start Upload.
